The West Coast Spring Invitational put on by West Coast Premier was the MAIN Event to be at this past weekend. Several top talented teams came out and put on a show. These were just a few highlights from the tournament, but there are plenty more that will be on the Official Tournament Mix.

Project Basketball & PassThaBall along with Sport Stars Mag are bringing you the best girls basketball event to Northern California. Friday, June 14th at Tice Valley Gym in Walnut Creek,Ca. The High School Session starts at 9am-noon, Middle School Session 12:30pm-3:30pm It’s only $45 to Register. Scouts and Media will be in attendance, this event will be filmed for evaluation purposes. Check Out Sophomore PG Jai Welch-Coleman out of Berkeley High she’s about 5’2 but can get to the rack, distribute to her teammates, and can knock down the 3. When she see’s an open lane she will drive to the basket and will some how maneuver in traffic and still got her shot off. Be sure to catch her in the AAU circuit for Ca Ballaz.

Each of these ladies did their thing on Cinco De Mayo in Albany,Ca. They put in work over the last 4 years and wanted to reward them for their efforts, and a great way to celebrate with one last game of their high school career. We had Team Red Coached by Wade Nakamura vs Team Black Coached by Margaret Garner. Team Red beat Team Black 72 to 55 and was led by MVP of Team Red Melaya Gaines of Armijo. Team Black was led by Amy Harioka of Carondelet. Game 2 featured the Bay Area Coached by Donovan Blythe vs NorCal Coached by Malik McCord. Team NorCal came up with the win 61 to 51 and was led by MVP Ariell Bostick of Bishop O’Dowd. Bay Area was led by MVP Lynette Johnson of Kennedy. Special Thank You to everyone who showed up to support girls basketball.

Courtney Jaco c/o 2013 out of Windward. The specialist behind the 3 that can get hot at any moment, don’t leave her open! Catch her next season at USC. Kristen Simon c/o 2014 out of Windward gets it done in & around the paint. She definitely goes to work and will BANG in the paint! Catch her in the AAU circuit for Cal Sparks.

Check out Bri Moore c/o 2015 a PG out of St.Mary’s Stockton. She plays fast, good defense, and has some nice handles that can get her to the rack. Fun player to watch and definitely has some fancy in her game. Catch her in the AAU circuit for Nor Cal Sparks. We have Sabrina Ionescu c/o 2016 Guard out of Miramonte High. She played fearless this year as a freshmen and can definitely shoot the ball, distributes no look passes to her teammates, and has some moves on her. For her to be so young I can’t wait to see her get even better over the next three years. Catch her in the AAU circuit for Cal Stars.

Katie Lou Samuelson c/o 2015 out of Mater Dei High is a long 6 footer with game. She can play the 3 or 4, can post up or shoot the lights out when she gets hot. Definitely creates problems for other teams because of her size advantage. Excited to see her develop to an even scarier player since she is still young. Catch her in the AAU circuit for Cal Swish.

Check out Sophomore Guard Aisia Robertson out of Bishop O’Dowd putting in some crafty work. Athletic player that can get the rack and finish difficult shots. Definitely a player that will do some damage in the future. Be on the lookout for her this AAU season for the Ca Ballaz.

There were some very good players throughout the Boo Williams Tournament that I wasn’t able to get a lot of footage on, so my apologies. These players, that I was able to get, definitely showed out more than once! Brooke McCarty 14′ for Cy Fair tough PG that never quits working. Ariel Atkins 14′ for Cy Fair is just ridiculously athletic and goes hard the entire game. Asia Durr 15′ for the GA Pistols is exciting to watch with serious mixteam handles and all around game. Jordin Canada 14′ for Cal Sparks a smooth PG with moves that can get her anywhere on the floor. Kelsey Mitchell 14′ for All Ohio is just a one of kind type PG that just creates for herself and her teammates EASILY!! Every time I see her she doesn’t disappoint.
