Queens Court 2013 Recap

Queens Court High School Recap!

Passthaball & Project Basketball put on the Queens Court Skills Academy & Showcase. Was able to bring out the top talent in Northern California under one roof to see the players up close in action. We had the usual suspects that came out and was much appreciated such as, Mikayla Cowling St. Mary’s 2014, Gabby Green St. Mary’s 2014, Mariya Moore Salesian 2014, Morgan Green Pacific Collegiate 2014, Asha Thomas Bishop O’Dowd 2015, Aisia Robertson Bishop O’Dowd 2015. Special Thanks to Oderah Chidom of Bishop O’Dowd (Duke bound) & Brittany Boyd (Starting PG at CAL) for coming out to help.

More stand out players that went to work.

Asha Thomas, 5-5, point guard, 2015, Bishop O’Dowd/Ca Ballaz. Ridiculous guard that did damage at Queens Court. Her shot was on, her game on, she went to work. You can tell she’s been in the gym working on everything. A must watch player!

Aisia Robertson, 5-7, guard, 2015 Bishop O’Dowd/Ca Ballaz. Athletic player that does a little bit of everything. She plays the point if need be, gets rebounds, finds the open teammate, can get you a few steals. Once she gets that shot automatic she will be hard to stop.

Jai Welch-Coleman, 5-2, 2015, guard, Berkeley High/Ca Ballaz. She has just improved on her game, she can flat out score. Playing with a high level of confidence, she will put the moves on to create space to get the shot off or drive. A definite must see!

Nadene Hart, 6-1, 2014, center/foward, Scotts Valley High/San Jose Metro- At her height she has a soft touch that can knock down shots outside the paint.

Lexi Tubbs, 5-11, 2014, guard/foward, Modesto Christian/Stanco Stampede – She impressed me with taking it to the rim and stroking the 3, very nice shooting form. Definitely a scorer.

Mariah Williams, 6-0, 2014, forward, Vanden High/Ca Ballaz. I enjoy watching her play because she is so aggressive and very active on both ends of the floor. She will definitely attack the rim if she see’s an open lane or knock down the jumper. Very solid athlete.

Madison Witcher, 5-6, 2016, point guard, Cosumnes Oaks/NorCalSparks- Even though she’s young she play’s smart and knows when the opportunity is there to score. She surprised me with some of the moves she put on, she definitely has game. As she progresses I want to see more attacking and scoring.

Erika Bean, 5-7, guard, 2015, Bradshaw Christian/NorCalSparks. Definitely becoming more aggressive on the offensive side because she can score. She played very well on both ends of the floor and made some nice passes. Every time I see her play her game improves.

Antuanisha Wright, 5-6, guard, 2015, Emery High/FBC- She is definitely under the radar. Very athletic with moves to match that can score, shoot, and pass. Plays with confidence and not afraid to go at any player.

Sierra Smith, 5-5, point guard, 2017, St. Mary’s Stockton/Stockton Mavs- She is going to be a dangerous player in the future, she can already hand with the big dogs! I enjoy watching this player, very athletic that plays both ends of the floor. Her future is very bright if she sticks with it.

Aliceah Hernandez, 5-9, guard, 2016, Sacramento High/ NorCalSparks- A definite shooter and offensive threat. When she’s hot she gets in the zone and does not miss! Another exciting player to watch that has some moves on her. She looks to score if you give her too much room at 3 point land or see’s an open lane.

Keana Delos Santos, 5-7, guard, 2016, Miramonte High/Cal Stars- Nice player in the making. She reads the floor well, dishes to an open teammate, knows when to score. Keep an eye on this one.

Kelea Dennis, 6-1, forward/center, 2015, Oakland Tech/Team Mariani. A solid player here. She’s mostly down in the post area because of her size but would like to see her play forward more often to see her range outside the key. A lot of potential with this player once she adds a jumper outside the paint & some handles to her game. Defensively she can guard the rim & can score with ease down low.

Desire Finnie, 5-10, forward, 2014, Berkeley High/Ca Ballaz. Very athletic player that will give you points & steals however you want it. Fun to watch when she is in the zone. Her shot has definitely improved and this is a must have player on your team because she hustles, gets rebounds, gets steals, your all around utility player.

Jasmine Hampton, 5-11, forward, 2014, Modesto Christian/EBX. She surprises me every time with moves I never thought she could do. This is what I like to see from her because it keeps me interested. She came out ready, and she plays better when she attacks the rim and shows off the foot work. I want to see more offense & more attacking from her because I know she can.

Marcella Hughes, 5-6, point guard, 2015, Carondelet/Cal Stars. Can knock down the 3 easily, do not leave her open. She has definitely improved, as her confidence came around she produced more on the offensive side. Not afraid to attack the rim by any means.

Kat Tudor, 5-10, foward, 2016, St. Mary’s Stockton. Another sharp shooter that gets hot when she’s in the zone. Has a lot of potential in the future, would love to see her add some point guard tendencies.

Geanna Summers Luaulu, 5-9, guard, 2014, Sacred Heart/Cal Stars. This player does a little bit of everything because she can score with or without the ball. She knows how to create offense for herself by constantly moving so she can either get the put back, rebound, or steal. Very smart player and love it when she scores, a definite offensive player when given the opportunity. Keep an eye out for her.

Lexi Thompson, 5-4, guard, 2015, Merced High/Stanco Stampede. She caught my attention with the reverse layup because not too many girls can finish the shot on a regular. Nice player that can definitely shoot and finish shots down the lane. Good court vision that finds the open teammate.

Definitely look forward to seeing these players as well, be on the lookout for them.

Morgan Bertsch 6-4, 2014, Santa Rosa C/F

Alexis Price, 5-0, point guard, 2014, El Camino High/ Cal Stars

Emily Van Dyke, 6-2, center, 2014, Modesto Gregori

Nydajah Jackson, 5-4, point guard, 2016 Oakland Tech

Julian Robinson, 6-1, foward, 2014, Kennedy/Bay Area Magic

Elayshia Woolridge, 5-5, guard, 2015, Oakland Tech/EBX

Tiara Chinn, 5-7, guard, 2016, St Mary’s Berkeley/ FBC

Ladies, this is your opportunity to get better, get some exposure, and play against the top players that you haven’t gotten the opportunity to compete with. Sign Up Now while space is available. It’s going down on Friday, June 14th at Tice Valley Gym, 2055 Tice Valley Blvd, Walnut Creek, Ca only $45.
