West Coast Jamboree Part 1

West Coast Jamboree Part 1

Some action on Day 1 of the West Coast Jamboree in Northern California. Monterey Trails was led by Jasmine Redmon and Tiara Webb, Scotts Valley had jump shooter Nadene Hart, Modesto Christian led by Fr. Meagan Warwick, So. Stephanie Moore, and Lailoni Gaines. Shabazz and Salesian match up was a great show especially when Zaire O’Neil and Mariya Moore matched up, it’s always exciting when the best players guard each other. Zaire was just dominant inside the paint, very strong and tough player, Doniyah Cliney also shot well from outside and penetrated well, DeAshia Jones was another contributor around the paint and getting to the basket. Mariya Moore dominated on the offensive end, just made assist after assist and attacked the basket, she was in the zone! Several players from Salesian’s stepped up big and knocked down BIG BUCKETS in this game such as Kian McNair, Zoe Correal, Taylor Crowder, and Minyon Moore.

Berkeley High who played solid team ball in the 1st half against St. Mary’s Stockton had some Freshmen that stepped up such as Xina Forman and Alexouis Bruce, Jai Coleman made several nice passes and was able to penetrate well and Desire Finnie kept attacking and made solid plays on both ends of the floor. St. Mary’s Stockton was just on fire behind the arc and their defense was non stop from Bri Moore, Kat Tudor, the penetration from MiCole Cayton, inside game from Angel Johnson and Kalina Vales, to Calissa Ship and Naje’ Murray knocking down shots, and Sierra Smith on the defensive end, it was too much to handle.

Scores
