Check out the girls who attended the All Ham No Turkey Skills Session this past Sunday at Chabot College. Several potential players in the Nor Cal area are out here wanting to get better!
Raveena Dhiman 5’5 8th Grader for Palo Alto Midnight is a solid player. Can shoot and pass, likes to attack the rim. Needs to keep working on quickness and tighten up the ball handling. Has the mentality to continue to get better.
Erica Miller 5’7 7th Grader for Cal Stars is a scorer. Very nice shot, dribbles with her head up, can finish at the rim, unselfish player will look for the open teammate. She has great size for her age and this player keeps improving.
Emily Howie 5’2 7th Grader for Cal Stars is a fearless and physical PG and plays good defense. She has a great feel for the game, I.Q is there, knows when and where to pass the ball. Solid at the PG position, and can get to the rim, would like to see her outside game a little more.
Zoe Zaharias 5’7 7th Grader for Palo Alto Midnight has great size and does several things well. She has a nice catch and shoot shot, put the ball on the floor, has the length to block shots. She understands the game and she can be a versatile player once she keeps improving on her ball handling.
Bianca Camello 5’3 7th Grader for Nor Cal Future is nice with the ball. She has nice handles, can penetrate well, shoot the pull up jumper, a well rounded PG. Real solid player just continue to tighten up the ball handling and work on defense.
Hannah Jump 5’8 7th Grader for Palo Alto Midnight is fun to watch everytime she steps on the court. She creates, gets to the basket, and finishes tough shots. Very impressive player with great size and can shoot from the outside, she is going to be really good if she continues to work.
Delia Moore 5’5 8th Grade for Modesto Magic is a nice hustle player, plays solid defense and can finish shots around the key very well. Active on both ends of the floor, would like to see her outside game more and continue to work on ball handling.
Amerika De Los Santos 4’9 6th grader for North Bay Elite is a tough PG. Fearless and not afraid to attack, has nice moves to get to the basket. Solid on the passing, she see’s the floor well. Would like to see her outside game more and continue to work on ball handling.
Meghna Nair 5’5 6th Grader for Bay Area Rush always finds a way to score around the basket or on a fast break. She runs the floor well, doesn’t force the shot, knows when the opportunity is open to take the shot. Needs to continue to work on ball handling and outside perimeter game.
Ashley Thoms 5’6 8th Grader for Lafayette Lightning did very well, she has improved and the confidence is there. Pulled off some nice moves on the fast break and was able to finish at the rim. Would like to see her outside game more and continue to work on ball handling.
Daylee Dunn 5’5 6th Grader for the Ca Ballaz did well on the offensive end and attacked the rim when the opportunity was there. She has nice length for her age needs to continue to get stronger and be more physical.
Leah Walton 5’3 8th Grader for Lafayette Lightning is a solid all around player. She’s active on both ends of the floor, can shoot from the outside or drive. See’s the floor and knows when to make the extra pass. Solid I.Q of the game and with her work ethic she will continue to improve.
Mya Blake 4’6 5th Grader for Stockton Lynx is always fun to watch. The smallest player on the court but plays BIG. Her I.Q is there as far as knowing where her teammates are and when to make the pass. Her handles are nice as well, has a series of combinations to either create space or get to the basket. She’s a fearless PG that will only get better over time.
Mariah Dunlap 5’4 6th Grader for Bay Area Rush is another fearless player that can score. There is no hesitation when it comes to scoring, when she is open she will take it. She see’s the floor well, shoots from the outside and has some moves to get her to the basket. Needs to continue to work on her outside and perimeter shot.
Melea Kessler 5’3 8th Grader for the Lady Spartans did a solid job attacking the rim and noticing when the opportunity was open. Needs to continue to work on ball handling.
Marley Langi 5’8 5th Grader for Paye’s Place did a solid job in the post. For her age she did very well against the older girls. She has nice size already, she’s on the boards and runs the floor well. Needs to continue to work on her outside game and ball handling to become more of a versatile player.
Lauren Etnyre 5’8 8th Grader finished nicely with the left hand when attacking the basket. She was on the boards and attacked the basket on the fast break. Would like to see more footwork in the paint, and show off her shooting more.
Kalyna Kim did well during the drills and would like her to be more aggressive during games on both ends of the floor so we can see her.
Jenna Adams is active and plays solid defense would like her to continue to work on her dribbling and her shot.
Natalie Brewster did a good job, needs to continue to be more assertive and just keep working hard on shooting and dribbling.
