MLK Showcase Day 1 Recap

A lot of talent and several big name teams came out to St Mary’s of Stockton as they hosted the MLK Showcase. Several highlights were caught throughout the day. Etiwanda came up with the win against St. Mary’s Berkeley, Sacramento beat Monterrey Trails, McClatchy beat Vanden, Windward beat St. Mary’s Stockton, Bishop O’Dowd got the win against Vista Murrieta, and Salesian beat South Medford in a close game.

Players who did work and came up with big plays were McClatchy’s Jordan Cruz, Gigi Garcia, and Destiney Lee. Bishop O’Dowd’s Asha Thomas, Aisia Robertson, Loren Lassiter, and Myah Pace. Etiwanda’s Amy Okonkwo, Cherice Harris, and McKynzie Fort. Windward’s Chelsey Gipson, Jordin Canada, Kristen Simon, and Emily Surloff. Monterrey Trails Jasmine Redmon. Sacramento’s Aliceah Hernandez, Courtesy Clark, Najah Queenland, and Ayanna Edwards. Vanden’s Kiana Moore, Chantell Greer, Julia Blackshell-Fair. St. Mary’s Stockton Kat Tudor, Mi’Cole Cayton, Sierra Smith, Charise Holloway, Naje Murray. Vista Murrieta’s Jaelyn Brown and Brittney Reed. South Medford’s Ashley Bolston and Julissa Tago.
