Corner Bakery Shootout!

Teams from all over Northern California came out to participate in the Corner Bakery Shootout in Lafayette, Ca. Amador Valley, Berkeley High, Brookside Christian, Campolindo, Carondelet, Castro Valley, Clayton Valley, Heritage, McClymonds, Miramonte, Presentation, Santa Rosa, St. Mary’s Berkeley, and Skyline.

Players to watch were Ashley Ewing of Campolindo. Santa Rosa’s Devin Murray and Katie Daly. McClymonds 6’3 Center Da Ja Nay Powell a Jr. with lots of potential, she has a soft touch and nice hands with the ball. Brookside Christian is a team with several players to go after. Miramonte vs Berkeley was a match up to see, several highlights from both teams. Miramonte’s Sabrina Ionescu, Bre Alford, and Keana De Los Santos played well in this game. Berkeley had contributions from Desire Finnie, Jai Welch-Coleman, Xina Forman, and Sierra Franklin is showing a lot of confidence. Skyline had a solid offensive effort from Darrien Washington, Briana Carson, and Safiyyah Yasin. Ariah Mack held her own for Amador Valley. The big match up everyone wanted to see, Carondelet vs St. Mary’s Berkeley was not a disappoint at all. Natalie Romeo, Makenzie Cast, and Gabriella Grupalo did a terrific job, shots were definitely falling! St. Mary’s of course had some key defensive stops and of course with several players for St. Mary’s helping out on the offensive side, Mikayla Cowling, Gabby Green, Taylor Berry, and Ma’Ane Mosley, they were able to come up with the win.
