Wilson, NC for the Student Athlete Showcase definitely had some athletes with great foot speed. The talent was raw in a sense that the girls have a lot of potential once they put it together. Footwork and shooting would be the area that needs to be improved.
Chrystall Jerome, South Central HS 2015 is UNSIGNED but showed very good qualities in her assist game and great court awareness. She hustled, got on the floor, attacked the basket, played very well.
Jada Lee, Fike HS 2018 a quick PG that can dribble the ball and had some nice moves. Played good defense, when the open lane was there she attacked, if nothing was there she didn’t force anything. Needs to continue to work on the mid-range and outside shot.
Jayla Bullock Beddingfield HS 2018 also had a nice assist game. She was able to attack the lane and finish with contact and played both ends of the floor well. Knocked down some outside shot but still needs to continue to make the shot consistent.
Kendal Moore North Templewood Academy 2019 a true PG that can score by attacking the basket, from the outside, or passing. The I.Q is there, footwork, and speed. Continue to work on mid-range and outside shot.
Deja George South Central 2015 is explosive, that first step to the basket is unguardable. She plays hard, very athletic with great speed. She can be really good if she takes time to improve on her dribbling and shooting.
Kinnedy Lawrence South Central 5’11 2016 had great size and length. Liked the fact that she could knock down the mid-range. Needs to get stronger or just more physical and aggressive, but has potential.
Savannah Eatmon Fike 2016 was strong, physical player, definitely knew how to attack the basket when the lane was open. Needs to continue to work on footwork, shooting, and dribbling.
Teresa Kent Fike 2019 made some tough contested shots and shot it from outside. Needs to continue to work on dribbling and being consistent from mid-range and outside.
Deontra Jones-Keeper Fike 2016 another strong and physical player that ran the lanes well. Needs to continue to work on the footwork, shooting, and dribbling.
