Sac, Vanden, McClatchy, St. Mary’s Advance!

A good day for the winning teams as they continue to advance in San Joaquin Section playoffs. Beginning with the first game Modesto Christian vs Sacramento. A close game up until the 2nd half but Sacramento eventually ended up pulling away 59-43 final.

High Scorers Sacramento: Anna Blount 10pts, RyAnne Walters 12pts, Andriana Avent 26pts.

High Scorers Modesto Christian: Nicole Warwick 14pts and Rachel Smith 8pts.

In the second game Vanden vs Elk Grove, everything went Vanden’s way. Shots falling from three point land and Julia Blackshell-Fair swerving through the defense effortlessly. Elk Grove’s Mira Shulman managed to keep Elk Grove in the game but wasn’t enough. Vanden wins 53-45 final.

High Scorers Vanden: Julia Blackshell-Fair 21pts and Cassie Allen 9pts.

High Scorers Elk Grove: Mira Shulman 19pts and Paiton Demps 7pts.

In the third game McClatchy faced a good opponent in Oak Ridge as it was a good match up till the end. More offensive weapons and defensive stops for McClatchy gave them the edge as they won 62-54.

High Scorers McClatchy: Kamryn Hall 20pts, Jordan Cruz 10pts, and Richelle Turney 9pts.

High Scorers Oak Ridge: Olson 15pts and Harris 10pts.

Last game St. Mary’s Stockton was looking to revenge their loss to Lincoln earlier this season, and they did just that. St.Mary’s jumped on a big lead in the 1st qtr and never looked back. They won 78-34.

High Scorers St. Mary’s: Neenah Young 18pts, Naje’ Murray 14pts, Aquira DeCosta 12pts, and Ariel Johnson 9pts.

High Scorers Lincoln: Delay 12pts and Leapaga 9pts.

St. Mary’s Stockton will play McClatchy Saturday, March 4th 6pm at UOP.

Vanden will face Sacramento Friday, March 3rd 6pm at UOP
